We will perform your comprehensive dental exam with a gentle touch and your comfort always in mind. Your first exam will include:
- Discussion of your concerns and desires
- Review of dental and medical history
- TMJ, head and neck exam
- Oral cancer screening
- Mouth tour with intra-oral camera
- Periodontal (gum) disease evaluation
- Tooth decay evaluation
- Radiographs (x-rays)
- Examination of existing dental work
After careful evaluation, Dr. Klein will explain your treatment needs and discuss treatment options. You will then have an opportunity to sit down with our treatment/financial coordinator to go over your recommended treatment and questions you may have regarding insurance or payment plans. The more involved you are in making dental health decisions, the more comfortable you will be.
IMPORTANT: All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the initial visit.
X-Ray
Bitewing X-rays are usually taken once a year, while full mouth x-rays are taken once in several years. You may request your previous dentist to forward x-rays to our office. We require x-rays to be present at the initial visit to allow us to do a thorough examination of your teeth and mouth. Additional x-rays may be taken at our facility.
